Sear function for a golden crust
The Sear function heats the plate to a temperature above 482°F for 30 seconds. Its primary purpose is to sear the meat, creating a golden crust on the outside, through the Maillard reaction, while keeping the inside tender and juicy, allowing it to cook more gently at a lower temperature.
